School Admissions Arrangements for September 2028 Entry to RBWM admitting schools
Overview
Under the School Admissions Code 2021, local authorities are required to formally consult on their admissions arrangements every 7 years, or when material changes are made to existing arrangements, such as changing admissions criteria or reducing the number of children admitted to a school (the PAN).
RBWM are required to consult this year, as there are three significant changes proposed to the existing arrangements:
- A reduction in the Pupil Admission Number (PAN) for Courthouse, from 90 to 60 places in Year 3.
- An increase in the Pupil Admission Number (PAN) for Waltham St Lawrence Primary School, from 22 to 25 places in Reception.
- The addition of a discrete admissions criterion for pupils for whom RBWM acts as the ‘corporate grandparent,’ applicable to schools for whom RBWM is the admitting authority
These changes have been proposed with Place Planning and Social Care and reflect the changing demographics and corporate priorities of RBWM.
